Welcome to True Reflections Community Development. We are honored that you chose to take this step. This is a place to rest, rebuild, and move forward at a steady pace. Over the coming months you will work alongside your case manager and our care team on a personal plan built around your own goals — stable housing, health and recovery, work and income, and the everyday life skills that make independence last.

Sober Living

This is a sober living environment.

Every resident must pass a drug and alcohol test (UA and breath) before move-in. Every resident is subject to random testing at any time, for the length of their stay.

Alcohol, illegal drugs, non-prescribed medications, marijuana and THC/CBD products (even with a medical card), synthetic drugs such as K2 and kratom, and any paraphernalia are not allowed on the property — for residents or guests. Coming home under the influence is treated the same as using on the property.

  • Before move-in: a negative UA and breath test before you receive a key. A positive test postpones move-in, with a referral to detox or treatment and a date to re-test.
  • Random testing: any day or time, without notice, and after overnight passes or late returns.
  • Refusing, not providing a sample within 2 hours, or tampering is treated as a positive result. Two dilute samples in 30 days count as a positive.
  • Relapse: our first priority is your safety, our second is getting you support. A positive test always has consequences and is reviewed with your case manager and psych nurse.

  • Running late for an emergency? Call or text staff before curfew. Quiet hours are 10 PM – 7 AM.

Chores

  • Daily: make your bed, keep your space clean, wash and put away your dishes right after use, wipe counters after cooking, take out full trash.
  • Weekly rotation: kitchen, bathrooms, living room, floors, trash and recycling, laundry area, porch and yard — posted on the chore chart.
  • Saturday deep clean: all residents, finished by 12:00 PM.
  • Room and house inspections happen weekly and may be unannounced. A missed chore earns an extra chore.

Visitation

  • Visiting hours: Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Phase 2 and up may request weekday visits, 5:00 – 8:00 PM.
  • Visitors are approved in advance, sign in, show ID, and must be sober.
  • Common areas only — never bedrooms or private areas. No overnight guests.
  • Children may visit with approval, must be supervised by their parent at all times, and must leave by 6:00 PM. A Parent / Guardian Release and a Child Intake are required for every child.

Meetings & daily structure

  • Weekly house meeting is mandatory. Recovery meetings per your phase, with a signed attendance sheet.
  • Case management at least every two weeks; your care plan is reviewed at 30, 60, and 90 days.
  • Unless medically excused, residents are working, in school or training, volunteering, or actively job-searching.
Your First 30 Days

What to expect

  • House orientation and a review of the community agreement and house rules.
  • An intake meeting with your case manager and a wellness check-in with our psych nurse.
  • Your individualized 90-day care plan, written with you — not for you.
  • Connection to recovery support, health care, workforce training, and life-skills classes.
  • Regular check-ins so we can celebrate progress and adjust support when life gets hard.
